Teachers and education leaders hoping to create a culture where people feel empowered to reach their full potentials must first make it clear that the institution itself takes a “developmental stance.” That is, colleges and universities must be seen as a place where everyone is expected to keep growing. What’s more, this growth must be publicly acknowledged as crucial to institutional success.
