Object of Desire: to better integrate the professional development planning (PDP), budgeting, and strategic planning processes within the division.
Activities:
- Work with Faculty Leads to identify specific HSS strategic goals for the next year
- Use these strategic goals as a way of framing faculty discussions of their individual PDPs
- Engage the budgeting process earlier, and consciously tie discussions of our budget priorities with division strategic goals and PDPs
Assessment:
- Collect division strategic plan, faculty PDPs, and budget at the end of the year, and analyze the degree to which alignment efforts have actually been successful
